Crystal L. Brandow is a Senior Project Associate with the NCYOJ and PRA. She serves as the Project Director/Program Implementation Team Lead for the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Comprehensive School Safety Initiative. Crystal has been working in the fields of behavioral and community health for over a decade, including efforts focused on children, youth, and families; well-being and wellness; trauma, healing, and resilience; identity, culture, and bias; and social justice. Broadly, her work includes training, facilitation, technical assistance, and product development on interdisciplinary topics related to public health and disparities. Crystal is a founding member of the Society for Health Communication and an active member of the American Public Health Association Mental Health Section. She has a Ph.D. in Health Communication from the State University of New York at Albany.
