We develop and support a national network of trainers to help professionals working with vulnerable young people.

The Mental Health Training for Juvenile Justice curriculum–developed by and for juvenile probation, detention, and corrections staff–increases staff capacity to better work with adolescents experiencing behavioral health and traumatic stress conditions.

Adolescents, Mental Health and Juvenile Justice: A Prevalence Study

In collaboration with the Council of Juvenile Correctional Administrators and through support from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, the Center conducted the largest mental health prevalence study to date on youth involved with the juvenile justice system.

With support from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, the Center provided critical support to states and localities engaged in the Models for Change initiative. Models for Change was designed to create sustainable and replicable models of juvenile justice reform.
